New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she is going to repay the city for her upgraded travel expenses.
The upgrades have cost the city around $30,000.
The city attorney recently issued an opinion that said that Cantrell is a city employee, which means she is subject to the same regulations as any other city worker.
City policy says employees should fly on the least expensive flights available and that they would have to repay any costs that exceeded that amount.
