ESPN is reporting that the New Orleans Pelicans have signed former LSU and Scotlandville star Javonte Smart.
Smart is a 6'4" guard who appeared in 17 games with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat during the most recent season.
The Pelicans signed him after waiving John Butler and John Petty.
