The Southeastern Conference is fining LSU after fans poured onto the playing field following its victory over Ole Miss on Saturday.
Conference officials announced the fine on Sunday, saying the fans' action violated the league's policy concerning access to competition area.
The fine of $250,000 will be deposited into the SEC's Post-Graduate Scholarship Fund.
The Tigers trounced the Rebels in the game, 45-20.
