Three members of Southern University's famed Human Jukebox marching band are dead following a crash involving an 18-wheeler in Natchitoches Parish Tuesday night on I-49 near Powhatan.
State police say the three were trying to change a flat tire on their vehicle when a tractor-trailer drifted onto the shoulder and struck them.
The dead are identified as 19-year-old Tyran Williams from Dallas, 20-year-old Dylan Young from Dallas and 19-year-old Broderick Moore from Cedar Hill, Texas.
They were on their way home for Christmas break.
The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt.
