Seven statewide elected positions in Louisiana are on the ballot this fall.
Two incumbents aren't running for re-election and two others are running for governor, so five of the seats up for grabs will be held by new leaders.
The positions of attorney general, insurance commissioner, treasurer, secretary of state, and governor will have new and possibly younger faces.
The candidates are focusing on fundraising because the October 14 election is only 25 weeks away.
