A New Orleans student is now the world record holder for the most scholarships ever received by a high school senior.
Dennis Barnes, a student at the International High School of New Orleans, has been accepted into 125 colleges and universities that are offering more than $9 million in scholarships.
The Guinness Book of World Records says the previous record holder was also from Louisiana. A senior from Lafayette landed $8.7 million in scholarships in 2019.
