Kenner police are revealing an apparent racist motive for last month's fatal shooting of a Metairie handyman.
At a preliminary court hearing on Tuesday in Jefferson Parish, police said one of the two suspects has admitted to his role in the fatal shooting of 66-year-old Lawrence Herr, saying they just wanted to "kill a white guy."
The suspects, 23-year-old Tahj Matthews and 25-year-old Maurice Holmes, are both charged with first-degree murder.
