Police are reporting that the man accused of killing a 23-year-old waiter at Mandina's late last month has a long criminal record.
U.S. Marshals and the NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad arrested 22-year-old Kyron Fazande at a home near Houston on Monday.
Fazande has previous arrests for possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, and contempt for refusal to appear in court.
He was sentenced to four years in 2021 for illegal possession of a weapon, but he was released on parole the following year.
