The federal Drug Enforcement Administration says drug dealers linked to the Mexican cartels are operating in New Orleans.
The DEA's New Orleans Field Division conducted 22 investigations in the four states under its jurisdiction as part of Operation Last Mile.
Nationwide, the operation led to the arrests of more than three-thousand suspects and the seizure of 44 million fentanyl pills.
Agents found that the cartels are increasingly using social media platforms to market their dangerous substances to teenagers.
