The Sewerage and Water Board is working to fix a sinkhole at the intersection of Ursulines Avenue and Chartres Street.
The hole started out as a pothole, but it's now reportedly about ten-feet wide and almost six-feet deep.
Work crews found a sewer problem, which they say they repaired, and an 18-inch drain line that still needs to be fixed.
The Department of Public Works has hired an outside company to will repair the line.
The repair job is scheduled to start by Monday at the latest, but there's no timeline for its completion.
