Bret Joined By 4th Tropical Depression Of 2023 Atlantic Season

Tropical Storm Bret isn't losing any steam just yet. According to the National Hurricane Center's 11 a.m. AST advisory, Bret's top winds remain near 70 miles per hour.

Brett is expected to lash the Lesser Antilles with strong winds and heavy rain this evening and tonight before it starts weakening.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Four has formed farther out in the Atlantic. It's expected to quickly become Tropical Storm Cindy, the third named storm of the season.

Neither system is a threat to Louisiana or the Gulf Coast.
