A Slidell police officer is recovering from injuries he suffered in a crash during a high-speed chase on Wednesday evening.
Around 6 p.m., the officer tried to pull over an orange Dodge Charger, but the driver took off.
The pursuit headed into Lacombe on Highway 190.
While trying not to run into another vehicle, the officer ran off the road and rolled over in a ditch.
The officer was taken to Lakeview Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect got away, and Slidell Police are looking for him.
