Fire crews are battling a smoky blaze in Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge.
The fire has scorched about 100 acres of swampland.
A helicopter dumped water onto the flames Tuesday as ground crews carried on the fight against the burning marsh and wire grass.
Fire officials say a lightning strike on Sunday may have started the blaze.
Drivers are warned to look out for smoky areas of low visibility on highways near Bayou Sauvage, including I-10, US-90, and US-11.
