Former NOPD deputy superintendent Arlinda Westbrook is no longer an employee of the city of New Orleans.

A spokesman for Mayor LaToya Cantrell made the announcement on Tuesday, but didn't say whether Westbrook had been fired or resigned, or when her city employment ended.

Westbrook was removed from the police department's Public Integrity Bureau last September after years of complaints from police officers.

She was reassigned to the office of City Chief Administrative Officer Gilbert Montano.
