The Saints will be without one of their top receivers for at least the next four games.
New Orleans placed veteran wideout Michael Thomas on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
Thomas was injured during the Saints' loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10 and spent the bye week rehabbing.
He will be eligible to return to the field in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Thomas has 39 catches for 448 yards and a touchdown in 10 games played this season.
He has now spent time on a reserve list in four straight seasons dating back to an ankle injury that he sustained in the 2020 season opener.
In other team news, cornerback Cameron Dantzler has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster and wide receiver Marquez Callaway was added to the practice squad.
