South Louisiana port authorities are contacting Baltimore officials to offer their assistance after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

The lower Mississippi River ports could help relieve shipping disruptions resulting from Tuesday's disaster.

Officials are calling off the search for the other four workers, saying, "We have exhausted all search efforts."

The Port of South Louisiana is one of the Western Hemisphere's largest tonnage ports.

The Port of New Orleans handles general cargo as well as cruise ships.

The Baltimore port is still operational, and much of its lost capacity may be absorbed by other East Coast ports like Norfolk.
