A new state law will update Louisiana's approach to economic development, with a mind to enhance business investment and job creation statewide.
Gov. Jeff Landry signed the Positioning Louisiana to Win Act on Tuesday, surrounded by state legislators, economic development leaders, and business owners.
The law creates a private sector board to create an economic development strategic plan.
It also exempts the Louisiana Economic Development agency from certain regulatory bottlenecks.
