Poll: Nearly 60% Of NOLA Residents Disapprove Of Mayor Cantrell

A new poll indicates Mayor LaToya Cantrell is unpopular with most New Orleans residents for a second straight year.

The survey from the New Orleans Crime Coalition gives Cantrell a disapproval rating of 59 percent.

The mayor survived a recall effort last year.

City government in general took its lumps in the survey, with the Sewerage & Water Board at 80 percent disapproval, and Orleans Parish Juvenile Court judges at 56 percent.

The New Orleans Police have rebounded to a 40 percent approval rating.
