The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the drowning deaths of twin toddlers on Sunday morning in a swimming pool in Metairie.
Deputies responded around 10 a.m. to a report about unresponsive children at the Lemon Tree Apartments on Zenith St.
They performed CPR on the two-year-old girls until paramedics arrived and continued treatment.
The girls were pronounced dead at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson.
