A suspended judge will remain on the November ballot.

The Louisiana Supreme Court temporarily suspended Judge Eboni Johnson Rose, but the Secretary of State's office says Rose is still in the running for a seat on the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals.

She could only be taken off the ballot if someone filed an objection to her candidacy.

State law says that would have to be done within seven days of the end of qualifying for the election. Qualifying ended on July 19.

Rose is running against Republican Kelly Balfour. If she wins the election, it's not clear if she'll be allowed to serve.
