New Orleans police are investigating the city's first deadly shooting in nearly three weeks.
Officers responded early Saturday morning to the reported shooting near Touro and North Derbigny Streets.
They found a man who had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
This homicide is the first one in New Orleans since September 1, when a woman was shot in the head as she and some friends drove away from a fight at a bar in Mid City.
