Louisiana Crews Deploy to Florida for Hurricane Milton Relief

Louisiana is sending teams to Florida to assist with Hurricane Milton relief efforts just days after returning from the Carolinas.

The Louisiana National Guard has deployed a 500-person engineer task force, a 100-person truck company, and two Black Hawk helicopters to aid in search and rescue operations.

Law enforcement and swift water rescue teams from the Louisiana State Police, Sheriff's Office, and the State Fire Marshal are also on the ground.

Officials say these teams are prepared for a seven-to-ten day mission, but the timeline may change depending on the storm's aftermath.
