The Saints are turning to rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler to lead the offense in Week 6.
New Orleans coach Dennis Allen announced that Rattler will start in place of injured starter Derek Carr against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Carr is being listed as week-to-week with an oblique injury and Allen said that he will retain his starting job when healthy.
Rattler was selected in the fifth round of this year's NFL Draft out of South Carolina. He completed 20-of-38 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown in three preseason appearances.
