A Donaldsonville mayoral candidate is out on bond following his arrest on Thursday for money laundering and other financial crimes.

Glenn Price turned himself in on charges of laundering $100,000 and illegal transmission of funds.

Price and another man were arrested three weeks ago for stealing copper wire from utility poles in Livingston and East Feliciana Parishes and selling it. He was released on bond four days later.

Price is running against incumbent Donaldsonville mayor Leroy Sullivan in next Tuesday's election.
