An LSU student is in custody and accused of threatening Gov. Jeff Landry on social media.

Louisiana State Police arrested 21-year-old Jackson Pemberton of Baton Rouge on Tuesday. In an X post, Pemberton reportedly stated, "I am going to kill Jeff Landry."

She was evidently angered by Landry's decision to have a live tiger brought to the LSU football game last weekend.

She reportedly admitted to making the post, but said it was a joke.

Pemberton faces a charge of threatening a public official.
