Former Saints safety Steve Gleason is recovering following an accident he suffered over the weekend.
Gleason was injured while exiting his van to speak at a volleyball clinic.
The 47-year-old was diagnosed in 2011 with ALS and uses a ventilator to breathe. He was recently hospitalized for six days in September due to low blood pressure and a fever.
Gleason is now an advocate for ALS awareness.
