New Orleans is getting federal attention as it gears up for the Super Bowl.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was in town on Monday to check out security preparations ahead of the big game.
Noem stopped by the French Quarter, where she acknowledged the victims of the Bourbon Street terrorist attack.
At the Superdome, she received a briefing on federal security operations for Sunday's game. The Super Bowl has the highest level of federal security resources available.
Gov. Jeff Landry and Mayor LaToya Cantrell joined Noem for her tour of the city.
