New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is thinking of making Bourbon Street pedestrian-only as a result of the New Year's Day terrorist attack.
A group of public safety consultants are meeting with French Quarter residents, business owners, and employees to develop a security plan that balances safety and accessibility.
Questions include the extent of the pedestrian mall, and when delivery and trash trucks will be able to access Bourbon Street.
The consultants are expected to make their recommendations by the middle of next month.
