The St. Tammany Parish coroner is asking for the public's help in identifying some human remains that were found more than 40 years ago.

A man's nearly complete skeleton turned up in 1984 on the banks of the West Pearl River near I-59.

Dr. Christopher Tape says the skeleton is missing some vertebrae and a collarbone.

The LSU Faces Lab has created an image of what the man may have looked like.

Dr. Tape says the body had been there for ten years before it was found.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the coroner's office.
