The suspect in the deadly Mardi Gras shooting in Mamou is awaiting extradition after his arrest in Texas.
Montgomery County deputies, Conroe police, and US Marshals arrested Trea'land Castille on Saturday.
Castille is accused of firing into the audience of a musical performance last Tuesday, killing two people and wounding about a dozen others.
He faces several charges, including two counts of first-degree murder.
