Treatment will no longer be free for those who use the Tulane University Center for Brain Health.
Officials announced this week it's losing its biggest funding source.
The Avalon Action Alliance has decided to pull its $2.5 million annual donation. No reason was given.
The center says its mission is "to improve the lives of Veterans with traumatic brain injury and other invisible wounds through comprehensive health services, community engagement, education and research."
Dr. Gregory Stewart is the director at the center, and he says the program will continue, but patients will have to pay for their care.
The setback may not last for long, though. Stewart tells Fox 8 he hopes a new funding source can be secured by May.
