New Orleans police are investigating a shooting on Sunday night in the French Quarter that wounded five people.
Officers were directing a large crowd at the end of French Quarter Fest when the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Iberville Street at Decatur Street.
Police arrested the suspect, 24-year-old Christopher Parker of New Orleans, less than a block away within minutes of the shooting.
The victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds. Police said they were all adults.
