Testimony continues today in the trial of a woman accused of murdering her boyfriend's six-year-old daughter in Harahan.
Prosecutors say Hannah Landon killed Bella Fontenelle in 2023 and placed her body in a bucket outside the child's mother's home. Landon is charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
On Wednesday, jurors heard from Bella's sister and teachers, and from the police officer who found her body.
If convicted, Landon faces life in prison.
