One member of the LSU baseball team is being recognized for his contributions.
Outfielder Chris Stanfield has been named a finalist for the inaugural Tony Gwynn Trophy.
The award is intended to honor college baseball student athletes who are active in the community and represent their programs with integrity, while excelling in the classroom and on the field.
The Tigers are 38-11 and will host Arkansas for a three-game series that begins tomorrow night in Baton Rouge.
