The deadline is approaching for Louisiana residents to pay their state income taxes.
The Louisiana Department of Revenue says state tax returns are due by Thursday of this week. Taxes paid after the deadline may incur penalties and interest.
Taxpayers can file electronically for free through the Department of Revenue's Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point web portal.
They can also use tax preparation software, or mail in a printed state return, which can be found on the Department of Revenue's website.
