Construction is underway on a project to upgrade the power grid in New Orleans ahead of hurricane season.
Entergy crews were working on Wednesday at a site near Little Woods in New Orleans East.
The utility says the citywide project will involve inspections and replacements of about 3,100 structures such as power poles.
In response to a city council request last year, Entergy came up with a ten-year, billion-dollar plan. The council approved the two-year first phase with a $100 million price tag.
