11 Inmates Escape New Orleans Jail, One Back In Custody

UPDATE: Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office now says 10 inmates escaped Friday, investigating possible inside job

Ten inmates remain on the loose after escaping the Orleans Parish Jail in Mid-City this morning.

Officials say eleven inmates broke out of the jail, but one is back in custody.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that Kendell Myles was found by deputies hiding under a car in the Hotel Monteleone Hotel parking garage.

Sheriff Susan Hutson said the breakout was discovered during a routine headcount.

The remaining inmates on the loose are considered armed and dangerous.
