Hundreds of workers at Smoothie King Center and the Superdome could be out of a job before the summer is over.
The hospitality company Sodexo has a contract that expires on July 14.
If it's not renewed before that date, more than 800 hospitality workers employed by Sodexo will lose their jobs.
Company officials say they're optimistic about a signing new contract, but they acknowledge layoffs are possible.
