A third woman is in custody and accused of helping one of the ten inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish jail a week ago.
Louisiana State Police arrested Connie Weeden of Slidell on Thursday on a charge of accessory after the fact.
Investigators say Weeden was in telephone contact with Jermaine Donald both before and after he broke out of jail. After his escape, she reportedly sent cash to Donald via a cell phone app.
Donald is still on the loose.
Two other women accused of helping escapees appeared in court on Thursday.
