The Orleans Parish School Board's lawsuit against Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration was set to go to trial today, but it's been put on hold.
An Orleans Parish judge ruled on Monday night that the school board lacks the standing to bring the suit.
The lawsuit sought to compel New Orleans to come up with about $140 million in school funding.
The judge didn't dismiss the lawsuit, but gave the school board seven days to add necessary parties.
