Louisiana State University is once again on top of the college baseball world.

The Tigers defeated Coastal Carolina 5-3 in the second game of the College World Series championship series Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska to take home their eighth NCAA baseball title.

This is LSU's second time winning the College World Series in the last three years. The school's eight titles are second only to Southern California's 12.

The Tigers ended their championship season with a record of 53-15.

Fans can greet the team at Alex Box Stadium at 3 p.m. today. The school recommends they arrive by 2:45 p.m. and they should gather near Gate 1. Parking will be available in the Hall of Fame lot on the third base side of the stadium.

There will be a national championship celebration at Alex Box Stadium Wednesday at 7 p.m.
