New energy measures were signed into law on Tuesday.
Gov. Jeff Landry held a ceremonial signing for multiple bills at the Moncla Facility in Lafayette.
The new laws aim to encourage oil and gas production in the state, cut energy costs, and make landowner rights stronger.
The president of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association called the laws "a big deal".
