Slidell Man Arrested For Hit-And-Run Death Of Six-Year-Old Boy

A Slidell man is accused of killing a six-year-old boy in a hit-and-run accident.

St. Tammany Parish deputies responded around 6 p.m. Wednesday to a report that a child riding a scooter had been hit in a driveway on Northshore Lane. Jeremiah Ramirez's mother took him to a local hospital, where he died.

Later that evening, deputies stopped the suspect vehicle on East Gause Boulevard and arrested Cody Beaudette. He's charged with reckless driving, vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, and driving with a suspended license.
