The search of a missing 12-year old New Orleans boy has come to a tragic end.
New Orleans Police Supt. Anne Kirkpatrick told reporters they believe the body of Bryan Vasquez was discovered in a marshy lagoon near his home by members of the Cajun Navy.
"This is indeed a profoundly sad day, but a day for some closure," said Kirkpatrick, who added the investigation into how Vasquez died is ongoing and they have not ruled out foul play.
Vasquez, who was autistic and non-verbal, disappeared from his family's home 12 days ago. He was last seen on a neighbor's doorbell camera.
