The Department of Homeland Security is providing details about 51 violent illegal immigrants detained at Louisiana Lockup.
The new federal immigration detention center inside the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola can hold more than 400 detainees.
Homeland Security says the current detainees include 26 murderers, eight rapists, nine pedophiles, and eight child predators.
The offenders are from Iraq, Iran, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Cuba, Venezuela, Ethiopia, and other countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
