Louisiana has 15 days to retrieve escaped Orleans Parish jail inmate Derrick Groves from Georgia.
Groves waived his extradition proceedings in a court appearance on Thursday in Atlanta. He faces aggravated escape charges in Louisiana.
Groves was already serving a life sentence for two murder convictions and two attempted murder convictions. He's awaiting sentencing for two counts of manslaughter.
Groves is one of ten inmates who escaped from the jail in May, and the last to be captured. He stayed out of trouble while he was in Georgia.
