The former Metairie Towers Condominium building in Jefferson Parish won't be reopening anytime soon.

A recent online auction failed to attract a buyer who would meet the reserve minimum price.

The 219-unit building on Metairie Road has been vacant since Hurricane Ida blew its roof off in 2021.

A planned one-year repair dragged on until residents sold the building last year.

The buyer's plan to renovate the building has been delayed by financing problems.
