Smitty's Supply Incorporated is suing boiler companies, alleging that faulty equipment led to an explosion and massive fire.
The explosion at the lubricant manufacturing facility in Roseland happened on August 22.
Smitty's filed a lawsuit against Fulton Boiler Works Incorporated and J&M Boiler Combustion Control Services in state court on Tuesday, claiming that Fulton sold them a defective thermal fluid heater and J&M was negligent in the installation or maintenance of that heater.
This comes as the Environmental Protection Agency still works on cleanup efforts after the incident.
