The trial for one of the Orleans Parish Jail escapees is being postponed for more than a month.

Antoine Massey's trial was scheduled to start today, but at the request of the state, a judge set the new trial date of December 2.

Massey was facing charges of domestic abuse and theft at the time he and nine other inmates escaped from the jail in May.

He was on the run until he was recaptured in June in the Hollygrove area.

All of the other escapees have also been rounded up.
