Pedestrian From Wisconsin Hit, Killed On I-10 In Slidell

State police are investigating the death of a Wisconsin woman on Tuesday as she walked along the I-10 Twin Span Bridge near Slidell.

Troopers responded around 2:20 a.m. to the crash on the bridge about three miles south of Old Spanish Trail.

They say Edashia Caraway of Appleton, Wisconsin, was walking on the eastbound lanes of the bridge when she was hit by a car traveling the same direction.

Investigators say she may already have been hit by another vehicle.

Caraway died at the scene. The driver wasn't injured.
